We recommend the following three models to suit most requirements. These can all be provided at a similar spec, however vary in premium look and feel, slimness and weight. They are all robust business class laptops. ThinkPads are far more robust than non-business class laptops.
Do not buy off the shelf laptops from Currys, PC World, etc. Avoid Lenovo IdeaPad.
Lenovo business laptops, such as ThinkPads, offer several advantages over consumer models:
- Durability & Build Quality: Business laptops are designed to withstand rigorous use. ThinkPads undergo military-spec testing for heat, humidity, pressure, and shock.
- Windows 11 Pro: Retail laptops almost always have Windows 11 Home, which won’t work with corporate networks or MDM systems like Intune, and is missing BitLocker.
- Security Features: Biometric authentication, TPM encryption, and robust BIOS security.
- Better Warranty & Support: Extended warranties and on-site support options.
- Enhanced Connectivity: Multiple USB ports, HDMI, DisplayPort, and Ethernet.
- Superior Keyboard & Trackpad: ThinkPads are known for excellent keyboards.
- Longer Battery Life: Designed to last through long workdays.
