365 Launcher X is a lightweight, compact launcher for Microsoft 365 apps and admin portals. Features apps and admin portals, different tab modes to minimise open tabs, dark mode support and more. The extension is available in Edge or Chrome browsers.
By default, the app will find open tabs, to avoid creating too many tabs.
Once installed, make sure the app is pinned, click the puzzle icon in the Chrome or Edge toolbar, then click the pin icon.
If you are a Microsoft 365 admin, click the admin button to view all the admin centres.
The Refresh toggle is used to force a refresh when switching tabs. Useful when you want to go back to the home page.
If you click the Settings icon, there are 3 different tab modes.
Individual
This mode is the default, and helps reduce the number of open tabs you have open by automatically finding existing tabs and focusing on them. So If you already have a tab with OneDrive open, it will switch to that tab rather than opening a new one.
New
This will open a new tab every time.
Single
Every app or admin centre will open in the same tab.
If you use multiple browser profiles, for example for different Microsoft 365 tenants or accounts, install the extension in each profile. This is the recommended way of maintaining account separation. Add a different image to each profile so you can tell them apart.
